Fabiola Ferrera

Fabiola Herrera was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. From an early age, she showed an interest in the visual arts, which led her to study them from high school onward and participate in group exhibitions of printmaking, painting, and sculpture. Her foray into audiovisual media led her to the art department. In 2010, she studied Production Design at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, and in 2011, she studied Art Direction at EICTV in Cuba. In 2014, she moved to Mexico City, where she specialized as a prop master in film. In 2018, she returned to printmaking and co-founded (with Felipe Barroso) the graphic arts studio La Fumarola and founded Libretas Domitila, a line of handmade notebooks with original prints on their covers, combining art and craft.
